Take some photos

It is very important to pay attention to the quality of photos and their representation. This might be the fundamental part of the form. The more successfully you manage to take a photo of your skin problem, the easier doctor will come up with the most accurate diagnosis. That is why it is very important to take photos of high quality. Here are some steps to help you do that:

  • It is adviceable to take photos using a digital camera or a smart phone which has at least a 5-megapixel camera.
  • Lighting is an important condition for a high-quality photo. It is a must to take photos in a natural day light, in front of the window, although, avoid the direct rays and turn off the flash.
  • Please, make sure that the view is focused.
  • The first picture should reveal the anatomic area the skin changes appeared in (e.g. the back, and, etc.).
  • The second picture should be done from the distance of 25-30 cm from the tumor or rashes elements.
  • The third photo must be taken as closer to the skin change as possible but the good focus needs to be kept. The photo cannot be blurred. It is best to take a photograph from a different angle.
  • Finally, it is a must to check the photo’s quality. Zoom in and make sure that the view is clear and not blurred.
