Skin cancer definition
What is skin cancer? Skin cancers are cancers caused by a development of abnormal cells that may spread to other parts of the body. There are three most common skin cancer types - basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma. The first two mentioned cancers of the skin are known as nonmelanoma skin cancers and melanoma is the least common but the most dangerous and aggressive cancer of the skin.
How dangerous is skin cancer?
After hearing diagnosis of skin cancer people immediately start to panic. The truth is, cancer of the skin may be successfully cured if diagnosed on time. The earlier patient finds out the skin cancer diagnosis, the better chances he/she has to get rid of skin cancer. As skin cancer diagnosis is the most frequent one out of all types of cancer, it is not a sign to panic, it is a sign to take actions.
